Sixtine Cail is a contemporary photographer based in Paris.
Her work draws from the aesthetics of spiritual realms and symbols imagined within a space suspended between past and future. Raised on a diet of New Wave music, her art is warm in how cold it is.
As an emerging presence in independent creative scene, she collaborates with artists across disciplines to produce distinctive visual projects that blur the boundaries between photography, memory, and fiction. Her evocative imagery has gained recognition through word of mouth, leading to commissions from influential figures in the creative industries.
Experimentation lies at the heart of her practice. Working across both analog and digital photography, she incorporates handcrafted processes such as collage, cutting, montage, and the physical alteration of her own prints. These interventions allow her to explore not only the image itself but also its material presence.
Inspired by places and the traces they hold, her work reflects an ongoing fascination with history, atmosphere, light, and memory.
Drawing on Gothic influences, her photographs balance delicacy and intensity, creating images that feel both intimate and haunting.
